18th century brewery

One of the first things people did after adopting a sedentary lifestyle was baking bread and brewing beer. Because I am always interested in how something was made, and think one should atleast try everything once. So about five years ago I started brewing beer myself. It’s a nice hobby and I can recommend it to anyone. Despite the hype that has been going on over the last couple of years.

But please just start with real brewing, the syrup kits you van buy at almost any streetcorner are rubbish. There is no challenge in them and it’s just like baking an instant cake.

One of the things that intersts me most is historical brewing. How did our ancestors make this liquid marvel? Here is a beautiful insight in an 18th century brewery…
