A unique find at Texel – pt. 2

Last week I reported about the discovery of a 17th century wardrobe just for the coast of the Dutch island of Texel.

Now two researchers of the Amsterdam and Leiden universities, Helmer Helmers and Nadine Akkerman, discovered that it belonged to someone at the court of the English queen Henriette Maria, the wife of king  Charles I. During a secret mission in march 1642 one of their luggage ships was lost to the water.
